Babcock's LGE business has secured a contract to deliver six cargo handling and fuel gas supply systems for Ultra Large Ethane Carriers being built at the Jiangnan Shipyard in China. The contract represents a continued wave of demand for the company's technology in the buoyant market for the transportation of liquefied gas, with the LGE business experiencing a record order intake of more than £300 million in the first half of 2024.
