Astrotech Corporation and its subsidiary, 1st Detect Corporation, have been awarded a research and development contract worth $1,290,650 by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to enhance the TRACER 1000™ Explosive Threat Detection technology. The contract, spanning 30 months with two phases, aims to develop new and improved explosives trace detection capabilities to address increasing threats and evasion tactics.
