Description
Alentis Therapeutics has entered into an exclusive global partnership with Australian biopharmaceutical company CSL for the co-development and co-commercialization of lixudebart, an investigational antibody targeting claudin-1. Under the agreement, CSL will lead a clinical program and assume financial responsibility for development, including the ongoing Phase II RENAL trial, a planned Phase III study in AAV-RPGN, and additional Phase II trials in FSGS and PSC. The deal provides Alentis with up to $1.6 billion in potential payments. Lixudebart represents the lead program from Alentis' proprietary claudin-1 platform, which the Basel-based biotech has developed around a protein involved in cell-cell barriers.
