Description
ACCIONA has been awarded two new contracts in Portugal for the tertiary treatment of water from the Vilamoura wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in the Algarve and the Carvalhal WWTP in Mafra, a Portuguese town in the Lisbon District. The contracts, totaling €6 million, will have a combined treatment capacity of 1,356 m³/h. The projects aim to produce high-quality water from reclaimed wastewater for purposes such as irrigation of golf courses and to implement environmental measures to prevent pollution of the Lizandro River and the Foz do Lizandro beach.
