Novartis has announced the acquisition of California-based biotech company Kate Therapeutics, as part of its strategic expansion into gene therapy and neuromuscular disorder treatments. This move aligns with Novartis' goal to deliver innovative treatments and deepen expertise in gene therapy for various neuromuscular conditions, aiming to tap into the projected $55 billion cell and gene therapy market opportunity by 2030.
