SAMBAZON®, the pioneer and recognized global leader in organic and Fair Trade certified Açaí, has announced the acquisition of SunOpta’s frozen Açaí and Smoothie bowl business, which will double SAMBAZON’s manufacturing capacity for ready-to-eat Açaí and smoothie bowls. This strategic acquisition expands SAMBAZON’s manufacturing capabilities in the United States and unlocks innovation offerings within SAMBAZON’s bowl portfolio with new dry toppings, savory toppings, organic fruit inclusions, as well as innovative bases that include tropical fruits, purees, and popular seed bowls.
