Elected representatives and private donors need to redouble their support for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), according to a report issued today by UNCF (United Negro College Fund).

The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is an American philanthropic organization that funds scholarships for black students and general scholarship funds for 37 private historically black colleges and universities. Its slogan is 'A mind is a terrible thing to waste.'
