immersionED builds immersive historical learning video game modules using pre-made digital assets via Unreal Engine and through partnerships with video game companies with relevant historically set content to build educational modules on top of their existing game infrastructure. Through these approaches we reduce the time and capital required to create immersive and historically accurate experiences that better engage students. Imagine the accurate historical settings of Assassin’s Creed but we’ve swapped assassination for education!
Not only does immersionED make an impact by increasing engagement with historical content, thereby improving test scores and learning outcomes, but it also allows for students to develop the transferable skills that are so crucial in the 21st century workplace as you move beyond entry-level positions.
These skills have often been difficult to teach as they’re best taught through active learning experiences usually only available to the privileged few, however, our modules will allow teachers from all backgrounds to immerse their students in experiential learning situations that engage students with problem-based learning well suited for developing skills such as creative problem solving and critical thinking. These skills will allow students to effectively analyze varying sources of information and come to rational conclusions.
