About

The Series C round is a nine-digit investment at “hundreds of millions of US dollars,” said the startup in a statement on its official website. Through its manufacturing centres in China’s Shenzhen and Suzhou, the startup develops electrochromic materials, solid-state electrolytes, optical film processing, and ultra-precise manufacturing technics for their applications from automobile rearview mirror, sunroof, and side window to façade, ski and augmented reality (AR) goggles, and more. Founded in 2017, Ambilight is a developer of next-generation electrochromic glass, also known as smart glass or dynamic glass, whose light transmission properties are altered when voltage, light, or heat is applied.
