Dutch bank Rabobank has appointed Alexander Zwart as its new chief innovation and technology officer, starting 1 December. The appointment of Zwart, subject to supervisory assessments, marks the exit of Bart Leurs, who has served as the bank’s CITO since 2021. Leurs joined Rabobank seven years ago as head of fintech and innovation, followed by a stint as the bank’s digital transformation officer and board member. Zwart has been working at Rabobank for over 15 years, having joined in 2008 as head of cash management operations. He worked his way up to the top for over a decade, serving in various senior roles, most recently as chief technology officer of Rabobank Retail Netherlands.
