Geisinger has appointed Jason W Mitchell, MD as its new executive vice president and chief medical officer, effective March 24, 2025. Dr Mitchell, who has spent the past two decades at Presbyterian Healthcare Services, will succeed J Edward Hartle, MD, who announced his plans to retire in March after nearly 30 years with Geisinger.
